In this presentation, we will share lessons we have learned as Gallatin County has begun the transition from an MSAG database system to a GIS centric 911 Emergency Dispatching System. We’ll talk about some analyses and editing we have done. We will look at some of the methods and workflows we are developing. We will share a list of documents, acronyms, and resources that we’ve found helpful. We’ll tell you who we’ve worked with and who it’s important to build and/or strengthen relationships with. We will discuss some things we know we don’t know yet and our plans going forward as we move through the process of migrating our GIS data to NexGen 911 from a local government perspective.
